The sky, right now

This page shows whether Mercury — or any planet — is retrograde today, worked out live from its position, with the exact dates the current or next retrograde begins and ends. Retrograde is an optical effect: the planet only appears to move backward as seen from Earth.

Current Sky shows the Moon’s phase and the zodiac sign it is passing through right now, read from the live sky. The Moon moves through all its phases about every 29.5 days and changes sign every two to three days.

Every position is tropical and geocentric, computed in your browser with the astronomy-engine library — the same basis as EtheReal’s natal chart tool. Nothing here is a prediction; it is the real position of each body in the sky.
